Tjörn Runt 2012

It was the first time when we went as spectator to see the race. We were at Klädesholmen, where we could saw lot of boats, the middle of the fleet (more than 420 boats altogether). At Kyrkesund, we just saw the few last boats :) But was very interesting...we should join to the next year! :)

#22 Sailing to Bassen

2012.08.19.

Short trip to St. Överön Bay and after to mooring at Bassen. Little swimming and sail back to home.
It was nice weather with West wind, 2-4 m/s. Our guests were Kati Levai and her kids.

#21 2nd leg of the trip, go home.

Källö Knipla is a nice island. Even there are more than 100 guest place, it was quite hard to find something. It was the first time, when we moored to another boat long side.

We discovered the island and found a very nice sandy beach, where the Kids could play and bath without danger. We were fishing for crabs also :)

The "host boat" was departed before us, so we moved the boat to the next free place just with ropes.
Finally we departed after 16:00 PM and we had a nice sailing back to our home port.

#20 Källö Knipla (first 2 days trip with the Kids)

We had a quite nice, but exciting sailing to Källö Knipla. It was week, 2-3 m/s W-SW wind and good weather, 20-21C.Close to Björkö, our navigator (me) did not focus properly for the track and for the GPS, and we made the first "hit the bottom"; we just touch the bottom without stop. We were to close a 0.5 meter shallow area. But finally we arrived to the port without any damages.

#19 Hyppeln-Källö Knipla

Great all day sailing; departed at 09:45, arrived to Hyppeln at 14:04, but it was full, so we were sailing forward to Knällö Knipla where we arrived at 14:54. We made a short break with lunch.
We continued our trip at 16:30, and arrived to the home port at 18:35.

It was quite good but cloudy weather; 4-6m/s from W, SW and 16-18C.
It was 22nm and 7:14 hrs. It was our longest one day trip.

#18 Back to Home (4th leg of the trip)

We woke up quite late and we made a big tracking before our lunch. We departed from the port at 16:10.
It was a short leg to back to Björlanda Kile; 5.9nm and 1:47 hr. We arrived at 17:57.
It was a light 2-5 m/s wind from South. The weather was clear with 24C.

The all trip has 4 legs during 4 days; 35.5nm and 10:50 hrs in the sea.

#17 Björkö (3rd leg of the trip)

The night was not really quite; it is a really party port, and here are several different race in this weekend, so there is no reason for the quite nights :)

We did not wake up too early, we departed from the port just 12:05. Now we sailed trough the Albrektssunds kanal, what is really amazing and exciting route, like a small fjord :)

It was a 3-5 m/s from W-SW. Clear weather with 26C.
10.7 nm and 3:31 hrs. Great sailing, average speed was above the 3kts. We had to use the motor in the last part of the leg, when the direction was almost against the wind. We arrive to Björkö at 15:36.

Björkö is a nice port also, perhaps we found the last free guest place :) The port fee was 200 SEK, a young guy collected the money around 18:00. There are several restaurant and shops around the port.
Also there are several tracking possibility, and you can hire cycle also.
